Case's Highchair Ribbon Banner

Got Case's highchair ribbon banner finished today for his birthday party.

Materials needed:
-Glue gun
-Scissors
-Ribbon of your choice (I chose about 8 different ribbons with one of those being my main ribbon to hang from) I purchased my ribbon from Hobby Lobby. I also waited for there weekly sale when they mark it 1/2 off...makes it a lil cheaper. I also used a jute burlap ribbon over the main ribbon at the top as the backing & to also give it a little western charm. Maybe cost me $10-$15 bucks in material.

Some people prefer uneven strands, not me I like things nice & neat. But just know that you can do uneven strands should you choose.

I measured my highchair using nothing more than the cowboy ribbon that I was using to going around it also what I call my main ribbon. Then I took another piece of ribbon & held up to the highchair to eyeball to see about how long I wanted to hang. I would say 6 inches is good. So cut the remaining 7 different ribbons each about 6 inches long. I will say its good to do this ahead of time b/c it makes it speed right through although I ended up wasting some ribbon. (Well I wouldn't necessarily say I wasted it b/c I'll use it again for something else I'm sure)

Ok so I went & counted & let's say about (9) 6 inch strands is how many you need so you don't waste any leftover ribbon.

After all your ribbon is cut lay it out on the counter & decide in what order you want it to go & stick your different piles of ribbon in that order.

Turn your main ribbon over & start the hot glue at one end. If any of your ribbon is not two sided then make sure turn your ribbon over so that when you are finished it faces the correct way. I wouldn't suggest doing more than about 3 inches of hot glue or your floor glue is going to dry before u get to it. After adding your hot glue start laying your ribbons down in the order you want. Keep repeating this step till u get to the end. I would also suggest doing an additional piece of ribbon over the back of your main ribbon by hot glueing it as well just to be in the safe side.

When your done your banner should look somewhat similar to mine. Let me know if you have questions or it I can help you in any way possible. Happy Banner Making!!! =)
